First Kunming International Tour Festival
ˇˇˇˇ First Kunming International Tour Festival, The First Kunming International Tour Festival was held from April 10 to May 10, achieving marvelous results. It received 5.554 million domestic and international tourists, with a total revenue of 3.41 billion yuan, a rise of 29.2% and 51.98% respectively over the previous year. The primary venue and its branch venues cooperated each other, featuring all kinds of fancies with striking national characteristics. These dazzling activities feasted tourists' eyes.Statistics showed that more than 3,000 guests from 42 overseas delegations, 30 domestic delegations and performance groups participated in the festival, along with six international travel organizations and national tourist institutions, and 167 tour operators from 18 countries and regions. Approximately 700 tour enterprises from nearly 20 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities joined the festival and undertook economic cooperation and exchanges. During the festival, Yunnan's exquisite fascinating tourist routes, scenic area and spots received an increased number of tourists. Those attractive scenic spots in Yunnan received more than 900,000 visitors, up 105% over previous year. During the festival, the Tourist Commodities Sales and Exhibition Fair and the Tourist Commodities Development and Design Competition were also held, with business volume hitting 830 million yuan and the retail sales reaching 24.923 million yuan. The festival offered 40 tour items for tourists in more than 10 branch venues, enriching and expanding activities of the festival.
