The competition will be held on south Taihu Lake with participants from home and abroad. Sports items include: difficult rock climbing, fast (speedy) rock climbing, an OSY-400 level motorboat race, and a water skiing competition. Drivers of American small wheeled cars, and world board surfing stars will display their will display their talents and skills, adding another thrilling dimension to the competition. Sichuan Plateau Horseracing Festival Time: July-August Place: Kangba Grassland Contents: Kangba Grassland Folk Welcoming Autumn Carnival has a long history. It is usually known as the ?Horseracing Festival? Under the guidance of the county, district and township governments, people gather on the grassland near their government locations to hold activities including horseracing, shooting and folk opera. Over a thousand horses take part in the competition. It is an activity on a very large scale and about three thousand tents are pitched to create a city of tents. Also during the festival there is a large goods exchange fair and other economic trade activities. Businessmen and friends from all over the country and the world are invited to come here and celebrate. Litang August 1 Horseracing Festival is held from August 1 to 15 every year, and is considered the largest horseracing event on the Kangba Grassland. Seda Gold Horse Festival begins on July 20 every year on Seda Grassland and lasts several days. Shiqu Horseracing Festival is held from July 28 to August 10 every year on Chengbian Grassland in Shiqu County. Tagong Horseracing Festival runs from mid July to mid August every year. All these festivals are grand and colorful spectacles. All visitors will be warmly welcomed by the local people. The Fourth Huashan International Tourist Mountain Climbing Festival Time: July Place: Huashan Mountain Sponsored by: China Mountain Climbing Association, Huashan Tourist Development Corporation Contents: International Rock Climbing Championship, Mountain Climbing Competition, climbing and sightseeing, performance of folk customs, calligraphy, painting and photo exhibitions, local products and goods exchange fair.
