กกกก General Introduction Traveling on foot doesn't simply mean a leisurely walk. Tramping is an open field tour with purposes and targets. Those who wish to go on foot can learn much, become fit and sightsee at the same time. They experience their surroundings in a unique way. There are many extraordinary and beautiful places in China that welcome walkers. Walking in Guangxi Guilin Yangsuo Yulong River Yangsuo, 65 kilometers southeast of Guilin, is a beautiful city in the mountains. Yulonghe is a picturesque river like a jade belt running around it. There is a well known saying "the mountains and rivers of Yangsuo are the best under heaven", but the pastoral scenery of the area is also renowned. Tramping Along the Great Wall From Gansu Some of the oldest sections of the Great Wall are found in Gansu and date back to the Qin, Han and Ming Dynasties. Trampers can start at Yumenguan Pass, go east through Jiayuguan Pass, Shandan, and eventually arrive at Ningxia, Inner Mongolia, Hebei, and Beijing. walkers' Camping At Yunnan Yehuagou (Wild Flower Ravine) This is a two-day tour. On the first day tourists are taken to the mouth of the ravine by bus, and they walk to the camping area. There they pitch tents, cook in the open air and have a bonfire party. On the second day there is mountain climbing, a walk to Sanchahe Valley and an expedition into a limestone cave. Yehuagou is a natural park, suitable for camping and cooking in the open air. It has beautiful natural scenery and is a delightful place to walk. Traveling on Foot At Guangxi Jingxi Tongling Grand Canyon Jingxi is situated in southwest Guangxi, and borders Vietnam. It is surrounded by mountains and is known as a "small Guilin". It has a favorable climate all year round, so it is also a summer resort and an ideal place for tourists or walkers. Tramping in Tibet Tibet is the paradise for trampers. It has beautiful natural scenery, mountain dwellers, ancient temples, quiet villages and towns, and unique local customs. All these are best seen and enjoyed on foot. The best routes include: Gandan Lamasery (Lhasa)-Sangye Lamasery (Shannan); Lhasa-Zhigong Lamasery; Dingri-Mt.Qomolangma ; Holy Mountain and Sacred Lake; and Namucuo.
