Nanning International Folk Song Art Festival

Venue: Nanning City, the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region
What's On: Guangxi, known as the "sea of songs," is the hometown of Third Sister Liu, a famous folk song singer. The Zhuang people, who love to sing folk songs, usually make friends and express love through singing songs. In 1993, Nanning first organized the Guangxi International Folk Song Festival, which was renamed as the Nanning International Folk Song Art Festival in 1998. During the festival, Chinese and foreign folk singers perform classical folk songs, thus fully displaying the charm of modern folk songs. In addition, the Guangxi Folk Song Competition, Chinese Folk Song Invitational Tournament and other activities will be organized to show typical folk songs and decide the best singer.

What's On: Domestic and foreign newlyweds as well as the couples who have married for several years may sign up for the international wedding festival.
