Lesson Eleven Watching Peking Opera
背景
京剧在中约有200年历史，它是
北京的地方戏。京剧是一个大剧种，流行全国，因此被称之为"国剧"。京剧有"生、旦、净、末、丑五大行当，各行当又有细致的分工，是歌舞、说唱、杂技等艺术的综合。
Peking Opera in China has a history of approximately 200 years. It is a local drama of Beijing but a major type of performance with wide influence throughout the whole country, therefore it is named "National Opera". It has five main leads, i.e. the male, old male, female, painted face and clown, and each lead has its own subdivisions. It is a highly comprehensive art form that includes singing, dancing, talking and acrobatic performing.
