Solitary Beauty Peak

Send Photo to a FriendLocated in the Normal University of Guangxi and Jingjiang Prices City in the centre of Guilin, the peak is graceful and imposing and has a good fame of "the pillar under southern sky". It is often compared to be a king as it erects from the flat ground like a unique column propping the Guilin city. Its summit offers the best panoramic view of the Guilin city. There are more than 160 cliff-side inscriptions of calligarphy and poem, among which are valuable treasures. Inside the Peace Cave under the peak, there are 60 chinese style zodiacal signs (Tai Sui) carved on the wall that are considered to be one of the world cultural wonders. 216m above sea level. 306 steps up to the peak and it takes about 20 minutes. Mind that the steps are very steep and with little space for resting your tired feet. If your heart is weak, avoid climbing up alone. During foggy days, nothing much can be seen on top.
