Pagoda Hill 2
Pagoda Hill is located in the southern suburbs of Guilin on the western bank of The Li River and is in Chuanshan Park. It got its name from the seven-story, hexagonal solid pagoda, which was built during the Tang Dynasty. The pagoda is called Longevity Buddha Pagoda (Shoufo Ta) dating from the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) is located on top of the hill. It is said the second floor has stone Buddha figurines on display and the hill is compassed in Chuanshan Park. In autumn, the hill is illuminated with red maples and is very charming. It is also known as Worship Hill because of its unique shape. Small as it is, the hill is attractive for its exquisite and oddly shaped rocks. Many tourists come here to appreciate the unique reflection of the Hill in the Lijiang River and Xiaodong River.
