Guizhou-Spring Celebration of the Miao


¡¡¡¡ Spring Celebration of the Miao From the 9th to the 15th day of the first lunar month, Miao people of Gaopo and Duxi, both in the suburbs of Guiyang, put on their holiday best to gather on a large open space. They sing, dance and perform various traditional rituals to pray for good harvest and happiness in the coming year. Such gatherings also attract many spectators from neighboring areas.
