Anshun Opera
Anshun Opera Anshun Opera Anshun opera dates back to the beginning of the Ming Dynasty, or 600 Years ago. It is usually put on during the Chinese Spring Festival (in February). Actors and actresses wear masks and colorful banners on the back. High-pitched singing is accompanied by gongs and drums. The stage may be a village square or a drying ground on the roadside . This ancient and simple performance is known far and wide as the living fossil of Anshun.
