　　 Most hotels in Huangshan are located in the two most important tourist locations: the Huangshan downtown area and the Mt. Huangshan Scenic Spot. Comparatively speaking, the hotels in the downtown area are superior in both facilities and price. Because of the fame of Mt Huangshan and the high cost of building a hotel in the mountains, the hotels around Mt. Huangshan are a bit high in price and few in number. Since Huangshan is well known throughout the world for its pleasant climate, travel plans are seldom interrupted by bad weather. Rooms in most hotels on the mountain are in great demand all year round. Travelers should plan a few months ahead and do the bookings in advance to assure that a room is available.
Generally speaking, flights arrive at Huangshan late in the evening and overnight trains reach Huangshan early in the morning, so please plan your schedule in advance and choose the right place to stay. Since it takes about one and a half hours to get from the city center to the mountain, and also the bus from Mt. Huangshan Gate to the Cloud Valley Cableway doesn't run after 5 p.m, those taking a flight to Huangshan have to stay in downtown Huangshan for one night and visit Mt. Huangshan the next day.
