"Treasures of the Study" of Anhui: Traditional Chinese stationery is known as "Four Treasures of the Study", including paper, ink stick, writing brush and ink slab. Anhui is a major producer of these treasures. Shexian County, for instance, produces one of the nation's best-known ink slabs, and is also known for its ink sticks, the best of which are produced in the old Hukaiwen Store. The Xuan paper produced in Jingxian County is the best material available for traditional Chinese calligraphy and painting, and the Xuan writing brushes are also marked for their superb quality.
Wrought lion Openwork: Wuhu's wrought iron openwork, fashioned out of low-carbon steel through a series of technological processes, is known for its unique style.
Gujin Liquor: "Gujin Gong Jiu" is the brand name of one of China's most famous liquors produced in Haozhou.
Famous Fruits: Pears of Dangshan, grapes of Xiaoxian County, pomegranates of Huaiyuan, cherries of Taihe, loquats of Santan, and kumquats of Shexian County.
Famous Tea: Houqiu tea of Teiping, guapian tea of Liu'an, maofeng tea of Mount Huangshan, Qihong tea, and tunlu tea.
